Benzamycin®
Benzamycin® is a topical antibiotic that is used for the treatment of acne. Its antibacterial effect helps in drying excessive oils. The erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide in it helps in fighting acne. Benzamycin® may be used for some other purposes as well.
Indications and Usage
Benzamycin® is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Contraindications
Use of Benzamycin® can lead to itching, dry skin, sunburn, redness, and peeling. It is contraindicated to those who are allergic to erythromycin or benzoyl peroxide. It may also cause swelling of face, lips, hives, or tongue, breathing trouble, skin burning, and stinging problems.
Warnings

Never use it on open wounds, dry or irritated skin, as well as sunburned skin. Be cautious against its contact with eyes, nose, lips, and mouth. Avoid using harsh soaps and cleansers during its use. Make sure to wash up hands before and after using the medicine. Apply it always on a dry skin. Never cover the treated skin with a bandage. Always inform the doctor in case you are using some other topical medicine.
